Payson Smith Hall Room 305 - 96 Falmouth St, Portland, ME 04103, USA
Looking to help pro-tenant candidates in Portland's elections? Come help distribute PTU's voter guide with us!
As we've seen in our city council actions, it is absolutely vital that we have city councilors in office that support PTU's goals of rent control enforcement. This is a very easy, low-commitment way to get the word out!
Stop by Payson Smith Hall from 6:30-7pm this Wednesday, October 21st to pick up copies of PTU's voter guide. We'll all spread out to hand them to our neighbors, put them on bulletin boards, leave them in common areas of big apartment buildings, and put them in other creative (and legal!) places to ensure as many people as possible can see which candidates we're excited about.
RSVP so we know how many copies to print!
Bunker Brewing - 17 Westfield St D, Portland, ME 04102, USA
Join PTU to meet the candidates running to be our next city councilors! Your landlord definitely votes (if they are a real person who lives here and not just a faceless corporate entity. The corporate entities just buy elections) and so should you.
Who we have in office makes a BIG difference for tenants. We need councilors we can count on to protect tenants rights.
This event is open to the public. Babies and kiddos welcome with their adults.
